A classic Carpenter-masterpiece and undoubtedly one of the best, creepiest and most atmospheric horror movies ever made. Damn, this film is so atmospheric, it's hard to believe. Apart from that, there's a pretty awesome cast(Jamie Lee Curtis, Janet Leigh, Adrienne Barbeau...), an outstandingly haunting soundtrack, beautiful cinematography and lots of terrific suspense and tension. Simply amazing!

An absolutely errible, terrible, TERRIBLE remake with a horrid 'new' story, super-shitty acting, a boring soundtrack, a totally unscary fog, and of course, there's no tension, no suspense, no atmopshere, no nothing. Crap.
