Guillermo Del Toro hates this movie - I love it. There are so many bad insect movies out there, I'm thankful for every good one. "Mimic" has a great and intelligent storyline. It's full of dark atmosphere, haunting moments and brillant-looking insects. The only letdown in here is Mira Sorvino, her acting is just weak.

Utterly annoying and extremely weak sequel with a lame story, no tension or atmosphere and some horrible actors that constantly talk crap or do illogical things (watching polaroids while driving, getting horny in life-threatening situations etc.). At least the insects look great.

Part 3 could have been a really good sequel: it's visually stunning and the new Mimic-goes-"Rear Window"-direction is pretty interesting. Sadly every single character in it is horribly annoying, the script is one pointless mess, the effects are poor, the score never seems to fit in and last but not least, it's unblievably boring (although it's only 73 minutes long).
