Probably Australia's first slasher movie and it's a decent one. The story is weak and there are many slow and uninteresting scenes. Yet, the cast is pretty ok, the dialogue is often hilariously great, there's plenty of atmosphere, the theater settings look wonderful and the kills are all brilliant.
(I'm not sure but it looks like this movie could have influenced the similar slashers "Stage Fright" and "Curtains")
