TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT
German Title:
Goodnight
Goodnight
USA, 1980
Director: David Hess
3/10
David Hess is a great actor and definitely one of my favorite movie villains ("The House At The Edge On The Park", "Last House On The Left") but sadly he totally failed as a director.
"To All A Good Night" is a pretty lame and unoriginal christmas slasher, horribly slow and tedious with a big bunch of unlikeable characters played by incapable amateur actors, awful dialogue and a quite predictable script. Gladly it's full of gorgeous and also gory kills, the killing Santa looks nice and some parts of the score were pretty enjoyable.
Nevertheless, I suggest to avoid this cheesefest and recommend the way better Xmas flicks "Silent Night, Deadly Night" and "Black Christmas".
