A highly interesting, fascinating and kinda insightful look on life and career of one of Spain's most famous exploitation directors, including scenes and stills from his early and rather unknown pre-horror films, and interview snippets with himself, a few of his actors and others.
It's nice to see Lone Fleming talking about her uncomfortable lesbian scene but it's also quite sad seeing de Ossorio talking about all the disappointing filming experiences regarding lack of budget, time pressure and unbearable producers.

Great but way too short interview with de Ossorio, talking about what he thinks of each "Blind Dead" film, containing many informative but also many pretty negative anecdotes.
Don't forget to read about the Blind Dead quadrilogy!!

ReplyDeleteMy dumbass was afraid I wouldnt like the series, so I only bought the old Anchor Bay double feature and then had to fill in the last two films individually instead of just getting the coffin box, so I will never benefit from seeing either of the special features ::sigh::
ReplyDeleteLOL I was lucky enough to purchase it at the clearance sales. Only 5 Euro instead of 10 = $7 instead of $14 - YAY! :-)
ReplyDeleteCarl, if you only have the AB double feature, than you have the severely cut version of the second film. It's missing gore and the scene that depicts how the Templars are brought back to life.
