"Footsteps"-director Wesley Skelly's created a wonderful faux-trailer for an 80s-set Xmas-slasher called "The Room At The Inn".

The trailer is an obvious homage to classic Xmas-horror-films like "Christmas Evil" or "Silent Night, Deadly Night". It's qute tense and incredibly atmospheric, well-filmed, well-staged, and it has a quite authentic 80s look
- maybe a bit too grainy, but ok.

The music (a mix of 70s-style strings and Christmas chorals) is pretty effective, the bathroom kill is awesome, there are a few really cool genre-references, and the voice-over is just badass ("There'll be blood on the bubbles, the tinsel will be in pieces... this is the Christmas present that nobody wants to open.").

If only this could be a real movie... :-)

You just can't go wrong with The Lovin' Spoonful's "Summer In The City" playing over a trailer :-) Tristan Casey (co-partner of Wesley Skelly at Wes Caseys Films) knows his action movies very well: his faux trailer for "Hot Killer Sunday", an action thriller that looks like a blend of an early Guy Ritchie movie and an 90s-set American b-flick, is absolutely badass.

It's packed with all kinds of typical action-clichés and cool-looking stereotype-characters. There's people running and screaming, there's people shooting and people falling down stairs. There's blood, there's undershirts and there's
guns, guns, guns!

Apart from the voice-over which doesn't really fit,

"Hot Killer Sunday" is just awesome. If only this could be a real movie... :-)
