THE HITCHER
(8minute short)
USA, 2012
Director: Rudy Gold
8/10
The whole thing is stunningly atmospheric and visually awesome, due to the fantastic camera work, the fluid cinematography and a few eerie-looking locations. The gorgeous Bethany Bodin delivers a terrific performance (I fell in love with her smile), direction and pacing are almost flawless and the score is pretty haunting.
Highlights: the creepy clown, the scene where the phone rings (almost made my heart stop LOL) and the absolutely mindblowing twist ending. That was just cool, didn't expect that at all.
Overall, a really superb suspense-short. Already excited for the next episode!

"The Hitcher" (not to confuse with Rutger Hauer) is the 5th episode in Rudy Gold & Cristian Guzman's "Midnight Horror Show" and IMO, it's definitely the best one so far. Director Gold created an awesome little chiller that totally kept me on the edge of my seat.
